LCD Alarm

I LOVE my Compustar, although I admit that i reused a Clifford Intelisensor instead of the shock sensor that comes with the alarm. Not because i thought there is anything wrong with the one that comes with the Compustar, but in all the 10 years I've had the Clifford one, i never got a single false alarm, and it did go off as it was supposed to on 2 occasions and saved my car from theives. My air horns woke me up and i went to the window and saw two d:ckheads jump into a car and drive off.
The 2 way feedback with the Compustar is great. Remote start the car, and it will reort back to you when the engine is running.
Range is great too.

2002acuratl, how'd you get your clifford sensor hooked up with the compustar. sucks to know that they're compatible, i just sold my accord w/the whole clifford alarm. didn't want the hassle of getting someone to disassemble it. tell me if it was professionally done or your own setup. with the intelisensor, did you get false alarms when it was raining ever so slightly? yet thunder wouldn't even set it off.

To get it to work on a non-clifford alarm you only have to make one modification in how you wire it so that you can program the sensitivity. When its hooked up to the clifford alarm module, you go throught the clifford to put the senor into the program mode. But all thats happening is the clifford sends a negative pulse out to one of the wires that goes to the intelisensor and that starts the 15 second programming mode. The work around is to just install a momentary contact switch on that particular wire from the sensor to ground. When you want to program the sensitivity, you just flick the switch, it gives the same momentary ground that the cifford alarm would have sent, and viola', the sensor goes into programming mode. Then just set the sensitivity as you always would, by taping the vehicle with the amount of shock you would want the alarm to go off at. A slap with an open hand on the outside of the "A" pillar (the metal alongside the from window) usually does the trick. Installer's tip: Dont wear a ring when you do this or you'll leave a small dent or nick paint.
