kicker s12l7 break in period?

Question kicker s12l7 break in period?

i dont wanna do anything dumb like turning the volume too loud before the subs are broken in or (warmed up), do you guys know the break in period? im hearing different things from 2 weeks all the way to 6 months. what do you think?

hmmm...maybe 2 hours of playing time. What I heard you can do to break them in sometimes is to hook the sub up to a small amp, maybe 50w rms. Leave it on overnight. You will notice the huge underpowering will make the sub rapidly move in and out.

push 1/4 times the RMS wattage for about 2-4 hours and that should break in the diaphram and the foam.

some thing with a "boomy" bass line

underpowering would cause the subs to blow
