Does anyone have one of these units or has anyone ever had any type of experience with the Kenwood DNX7140? and negative/positive feedback? ill probably have one by the end of the week and want to know if there are any issues i should know about?

well.. my dads "surprising" me with a DNX7140, but if the other similar model Kenwoods have good reviews, im sure this one will be about the same.. it was either this or the Pioneer F900BT or F90BT, but im glad ill have the bigger screen lol

 

I actually just got the Kenwood DNX5120. Its got the Nav and iPod interface. Not a fancy as your but I love it. I had a Pioneer 700BT first, but it was defective and I returned it for the Kenwood. Def glad I went with the Kenwood instead! Everyone comments me as soon as it fires up when they get in the car!

 

thanks.. that just what i wanted to hear!! the 5120 is the smaller screen one right? i think everything else is the same (software and all)

 

Yeah, the screen is like .7 inches bigger and you already have bluetooth built in. Other than that and maybe some added features they are very similar. Compared to the Pioneer its no contest. The Kenwood is more responsive, has a lot more audio control, looks nicer, and is just sick! Good luck, and enjoy. And i hope your not gonna pay someone to put it in for you. I'm working on my write-up to put in a double din in the CL-S.

 

i have a friend that knows how to install it.. he's the one that told me my dad was getting it lol.. woulda been a nice surprise but oh well..

 

There you go. Just make sure you order the double din kit so that you can fit the head unit into your car. it takes a couple days to come in so you might want to do that now (http://www.installer.com/item/displa...hp?it=95-7868B).

I see that your avatar is not an acura but i figured since you posted on here you an acura. This kit is good for the 01-03. Good luck with the install. its not bad at all. just take your time and i'd def watch/help your friend cause its fun to learn!

got it today! WITH iPod cable and video bypass! he got home after dark so i cant tell how flush it is and havent played with it too much.. but so far i like it! all i need to get now is the back-up cam! [wish the A-Spec spoiler came with a COLOR camera instead of B/W =( ]

does anyone know if my 03 TL 6 Disc HU will work in my sisters 2000 Maxima GLE? it has Bose as well..
