Keeping Factory Navi with after market H/U

My Car: 01 CL-S
Specs: Factory Bose Setup w/ Navi

I'm no noob, i know all about the 1-ohm nightmare and i plan to remove the entire Bose setup from the Headunit to the amp to the speakers. I plan to replace everything....

With that said I'd like to keep the Factory Navi but replace the Bose H/U with an aftermarket Dub-Din touch screen. I know this has been done already and I'd like to know what problems I'll be facing if any once i start ripping the old stuff out.

For instance, i saw a while back someone had a hard time getting the sound from the Navi to work with their aftermarket unit...

Has anyone accomplished this without any flaws?

In the DIY thread..

You will also need an adapter to keep steering wheel controls.
