Just installed 4-way's in the rear deck...
What a pain! Space is tight back there with the sloped rear window. I felt like busting through the rear window to get to the screws better and then call insurance and tell them it was vandalized! I had to use the stock screws to screw it back in and the holes didn't line up perfectly so it is tightened as much as possible but not perfect. The big magnets on the back of my new speakers also are really close to the trunk spring rods, I tried to bend one further out to make some room so I'll see if they rattle. I'm looking for a wiring harness so I don't have to splice into the stock wires but I just may get to choppin' tonight cause I want to hear them.
Anyone have experience re-wiring with streetwires to the rear deck? That would be good when I get a new head-unit.

And a lot of ideas in my head...

I went ahead and spliced my factory wires to the rear speakers. Doesn't matter to me, the aftermarket setup is more important to me....If I need to I'll just wire the factory harness back together (which will be never). Note, I did hook 16gauge wire directly from my amp in the trunk to the rear 6x9s....it didn't sound any different at all. So if you want to use Streetwires for the rears it ought to be a piece of cake.

What type of box do you have your 10" in? I'm thinking I may get the truck box if it sounds the same so that I can save some space in the trunk, I don't want to fill it up with a big hatchback box.
Any thoughts? Will there be a difference in sound performance?
