IPod aux in '05 TSX

Is there any simple way to listen to my ipod over the speakers in the 05 tsx? In other words, is there any aux plug accessible anywhere?
By the way, simple means not taking anything apart.

Nope. you'll need to add an aux adaptor. Plenty of threads on the topic. Use El Searcho button.

Well...you're gonna have to remove the storage bin. This is really easy. It just has clips on it.

Do you consider that "taking apart" ?

If you do, then look into getting a professional install.

If he has NAV, it will be a bit more complicated than that, and he'll still have to order SNHOND3 or something of that nature.

The answer to the original question is no.

But remember, the people that assemble cars aren't any smarter than most of us...

Read the FAQ on accessing the AUX using an SHOND or the blitzsafe adatper.

If they were smarter then us they would have put RCA inputs in the front of the stock HU.

You could purchase the ITrip and transmit the FM signal to your radio. ITrip isn't very good in the metropolis, but out in the boondocks, it's pretty sweet.

I haven't used my IPOD in my car yet. I'm lovin' the 6-CD appetite of the in-dash changer.

Check this out. Its a pretty easy install and sounds 10X better than a FM adapter.

That site says if you have the factory XM you will have to unistall it to get it to work with the shond3.

INOW. the xmradio installed at the factory takes place of the aux port.

All of this AUX input talk got me thinking - would BT on the RL work as an input? Does anyone make a BT MP3 player?

Do you have problems with the ITrip in the city? I'm always getting rocked with interference.

iTrip and atlanta aren't friends at all. Plus, if you read into the iTrip stuff, it has problems with the fact that the TSX has the antenna integrated into the rear window. i figured that would help but that's not the case. I took back the iTrip and got a SNHOND3 and have been happy ever since.

You will definitely lose sound quality and bass if you use the ITrip. I did hear of a user leaving his Ipod on the rear deck to get the best possible sound.

You should definitely go with the SNHOND3 or Blitzsafe if possible, but if want a very simple solution the Itrip is really small and is a simple/cheap solution. It's also portable from car to car, which is one advantage of it. It just really comes down to how important the sound quality is to you and whether you're in a big city like Atlanta where the inteference can be a major issue.

What I'm told is that .wav files won't go through Bluetooth, but .mp3 files will. And I hear that a certain computer company who happens to make white portables is working on a stereo headphone with just that wireless technology even as we speak...

Read the FAQ on accessing the AUX using an SHOND or the blitzsafe adatper.
I just searched the FAQ for AUX, snhond3, and blitzsafe (separately) none came back with any matches. Maybe something is broke. Can anyone tell the difference between the snhond3 and blitzsafe units (for a 05 TSX)?

He said to go read the FAQ so I went to it (here https://acurazine.com/forums/faq.php ). Searches there -- for me -- yielded nothing.

The FAQ forum:

https://acurazine.com/forums/a-60/

Probably referring to this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3148

When in doubt, just use the whole site search on the top bar.
