Installing 6x9's... from my old car

Sup, I've been reading the forums a lot recently about installing new speakers. I'm planning on installing my speakers from my old accord to my tsx. The rear 6x9's were Infiniti Kappa 692.5i two-way speakers, and since I'm selling my car soon, I don't feel like letting go of those, but I can let go of my sony xplods in the front (100W) or should I?
Anyway, I didn't really find a thread with detailed instructions as to how to install the rear deck speakers. I went to best buy and the guy said u needed to do rewiring in order to change the speakers because of the amp, but I'm not sure if I trust him or if hes just trying to get some money out of me. So, could anyone give me some detailed instructions as to how to install the rear deck speakers and if I need anything else to fit the infiniti speakers, like spacers or wutever. Also, do I need to rewire, or buy a harness, if so, what harness and where can I buy it? Thanks all.

Another thing, I guess one of my biggest questions is: will the factory amp affect my installation at all, or will be a simple remove old speakers, add new ones with harness?

Well, I have the same 6x9s as you and I haven't installed them yet because I've been too lazy to make spacers. However, I will tell you that they are too deep and will atleast need a 1/2" spacer if not more. The magnets will hit the trunk torsion bar if you just attempt to drop them in. The spacers are also somewhat of a pain to make because the fit is very tight for the factory 6x9s. They have almost no lip around them compared to the Kappas, so you will definitely need to do something custom to fit them in. Hope this helps.

As far as the BB guy oes, neer ascribe to malice what can be adequately explained by incompetence. No rewiring needed for 6x9 swap.

After you make spacers you probably will need to trim the underside of the speaker grilles so your speakers will clear. You will see what I mean when you pop the speaker grilles off. If you buy the speaker plugs from Autotoys this is a bone-stupid-simple install. The by-nine wires are very short so I would go with the plugs.

And don't overtighten the factory screws if you use them...
