Insignia brand subwoofer and amp, anybody have experience?

I just replaced all the speakers in my car, but now I need bass. I dont need window pumping bass, just enough to make the music sound good. Does anybody have experince with this brand of subwoofer and amp? For some reason I cant find any reviews on the internet...

Thanks

don't bother. they're best buy brand subs and amp, with about 150 watts rms to each sub, you'll barely feel that from your trunk. if you have bose, the bose will hit harder than these will. go atleast 200 watts.

I'm not really looking for anything to pump me out of my seat, just some bass to go along with the music... These wouldnt even be good for "background" bass?

PLEASE DO NOT GET THAT.....

WHats your budget. Go to a small audio shop around town (most likely to cut u a deal) Look for a decent 10" and a decent amp.

If u are on a budget, go the best buy check out the alpine type e and a pioneer amp.

I bought a 10W1 and a E1200 amp from JL for my 1996 Honda accord and with wiring and the wood for the box, it was almost $400.....and it sounds great.

Alright, thanks a lot... I guess I will stay away from these...

This sub will be going into my beater, so my budget, well, wont be much. I'm saying 200-250 at the max...

Thanks for the help

i also work at bestbuy, as an installer. stay away from these. make friends with someone that works there and have them buy you some type-r's

if you want cheap subs that sound good look for kicker comp-vr's. under 100 bucks each and sound great for the price.

I don't know why these stores sell crap... It's mind boggling...

So, out of these brands, which would I want to choose from, generally speaking: Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, MTX Audio, or Infinity...

Any one of those I can get at cost price... 1 12" is all I'm looking for...

There is only one problem I have with eBay right now, all the cheap audio equipment has shipping to Canada set as 59.99 for 10-14 day shipment... No way in hell am I paying 60.00 inflated shipping charges... I realize that even with the low cost of the equipment, including the shipping price, I am still getting a good price, but in the end, with a box, an amp, and wiring kit, I'd be up to $300.00+... If worse comes to worse, I will have to do the eBay thing, but until then, I'd prefer to stay local...

Small...local audio shops are always moivated by cash! I got my JL 10W7 for $400 when it first came out. AND, when you buy more then one thing, they tend to give deals.
