Post i got a ???????

if you have a system thats hittin pretty hard and pulling enough juice to dim the head lights, what happens if you have hid lights, i have heard some say that when turned on the take a second to "warm up" so what happens if the voltage drops to 8 volts for 1/2 a second ????

the HID bulbs should be turned on after the engine is started especially if the system is pounding b4 they r on. the HIDs take more power than the system does anyway so they wouldnt really dim but if the system is strong and it's dimming the lights u def. should think either about caps or a gel battery yellow top, if u do get the battery u shouldnt have a prob with electricity

HID's only use alot of power when they are warming up. Once they are warm (they look white, not blue) they hardly use power. HID's use less power than halogens. And BTW, HID's do not dim no matter how much bass you're pushing, they cant dim since they dont have a filament, its either on or off.

BTW, I know this because I have HID headlights and fog lights and they never dim. My stereo uses ALOT of power and dims all the other lights except for the HIDs.
