i called u.s. amps, and they told me it is under-rated by ATLEAST 10-15% ...i will only be running 2 channels for the amp...the other 2 channels will be for rear mids.

This amp cannot be bridged....is it good enough to power the 165w 2-way?? will it be loud enough?

its also a hybrid tube amp...supposedly very nice sound with mids/highs

i hope it will be loud enough...cause if its not, i will have to bi-amp to squeeze out a bit more watts......then i gotta get a small amp for the rear mids.

before u guys tell me to forget about rear fill..u should know that i will be running a dvd setup so i need some sound for the rear

btw, the focals will be going in custom kickpanels...does that make it sound louder ??? if so, how much louder?


i also got a chrome u.s. amps USA - 600 ( http://www.usamps.com/products/inv/usa-600.htm ) to power my IDmax d4 v3...
the usa - 600 does 600x1 @ 2ohms...and U.S. amps told me it is their most underated amp that it would easily put out atleast 900 watts of clean power....will this be enough?? both my amps are identical in size and looks, so thats a plus for me.

i went with the U.S. amps setup cause i think they look PIMP..i have them sitting in my living room and i stare at them a lottt... they also seem to be built like TANKS



im no audiophile, not even close...so if u guys see something wrong with my setup...please tell me...i would really appreciate it.

also, if anyone could suggest a good rear fill speaker, i will be gratefull...mids only please, or if u think coaxil is good too..gimme your opinion....i was thinking about the ID midbass drivers...

here is my setup, so far i have the amps, and the sub, the pioneer 9000r brain and the focals...i'l have the rest by next week...but i could easily sell this stuff if u guys see something that doesnt fit in right...

im going with the pioneer 8" screen because it will look amazing and flush, the pics below is the exact same car as mine...and it looks very clean imho




I also am looking for some good DECENT priced monitors for the rear headrests...i would go with pioneer, but they only make a 6.5 screen which is too big for my head rests...anyone?

yeah i think that your choice in amps sound work out just fine... as for the pioneer monitor i like that.... but i dont understand why he put a head unit in there as well...personally i was thinking about a similar install in my tl but i was going to use the pioneer avd-8000 (8 in screen) and the avm-9000r brain as the headunit...and maybe the 6 disc cd/dvd changer.... as for the head rest monitors i would go with icon or accele screens...

The tube amp usamps that you received would be excellent for the Utopias. US Amps really do have an excellent amp. Right now I'm using a US AMps 2000x runnning my maxes. Thats over 2000w. 900w to one max should be good.

yes i am on the stock alt. Im having big probs with power. I will eventually get a new alt spring time. Im sending in my idmaxes and getting them replaced with v.3 maxes. Supposedly a bit better then the originals.
