hey gang,
It's about 10 months we (my wife and I) have the TL-S and we love the ride. We commute (carpool) to work with the TL-S and everytime we pass by or see a TL/TL-S, we always play the guessing game to see if the car has stock navi installed.

Is there anyway to tell if the TL/TL-S comes with the navi from the outside view without actually take a look at the interior ? Is there any distinction on the antena on the rear windshield or front windsheild ?

Looks the same from the outside, except for the '03s which now have OnStar integrated into the navi. Any '03 with navi will have the OnStar antenna on the center rear of the roof. No way to tell with the older models....

 

Just look at the drivers face. If he looks lost, probably no Navi:p

If he looks like hes watching some kick ass DVD's on his navi screen, then yes the car has NAVI.....

 

pianoman41 is right, the '03 has the onstar antenna on it, otherwise there is no way to tell... unless you get right on his A$$, the systems with Navi before '03 have another antenna in the rear windshield, you just have to right on top of them to see it...

 

Actually, the antenna for the GPS system in the navi is located under the rear parcel shelf behind the rear seats. You cannot see it at all from the outside. The small black "box" at the top edge of the rear window is the antenna connection for the AM/FM radio that is embedded in the rear glass, and all TLs have it.
