This was given to me when I asked. I haven't read up too much on it yet, and haven't purchased it but I will hopefully soon. I miss my controls!

i use the axxess aswc, made by metra, works with all stereos and aftermarket stereos with no programming required, unlike the swi-jack.
also doesn't lag like the swi-jack, and is cheaper. there is no reason not to buy the access aswc.

so i finally got the pac swi-jack interface...got a hook up from a buddy, cost me $45for the part. took me about 5 mins to wire up and program. slight delay in response when using the steering wheel controls, but works great!

I can't say enough good things about the Axxess ASWC. It's so much simpler than the PAC unit, doesn't require any programming on our cars, and it's a breeze to install. Only three wires.

I am interested also....I was using a PAC product which was not the direct line in , but a remote control sensor that was mounted elsewhere in a line of sight of the stereo...worked ok, as long as there was a line of sight, and not too sunny.
I then tried the PAC product that is the direct line into the back of the headunit...(on my MDX by the way when I bought a newer DD unit) it all seemed to work well, slight delay, but the MDX has some kind of problem, that when you turn the steering wheel, sometimes it changes radio stations or song tracks....so I quit using it.
This Axxess unit sounds interesing...would like to here more.

I actually have a SWI-RC and a SWI-PS in my 03 CL-S. the SWI-RC for steering wheel controls and a SWI-PS for the OnStar buttons to control the radios BT. The steering wheel has the screwed up ground that only works part of the time. But when it does work I have no delay. I really have never programmed one that gave me a delay.
Must be lucky.
