How do I tune my deck?

How do I tune my deck? I have an alpine 9813, and I know i need to hit the alpine site for configurations, but any general rule of thumbs?

hey if u find anyone good lemme know cause i got the alpine 7995 and it sounds like shit. I cant figure out how to straighten the sound either

i can tune it if you come to Brooklyn,NY it all depend what you have beside the head unit and how its all wired up because if you're using factory amp and you didn't use low outputs it will always sound like shit. but i can fix anything

well what other components are in your system

first off try the MX button that will help..

if you have subs, turn the sub output up ....
that model has an eq which might need adjustin..

i heard once u get a full system you don't use teh MX button anymore, my components get drowned out with the MX button, much clearer without...
