anyone have instructions how to remove and replace the stock speakers? i just bought 6x9 type r and 6.5" type s components. anyone know if the components fit?

Look in the FAQ at the top of this forum for articles on how to do this. The 6x9s are really easy - you just need to pop off the stock grills, unscrew the old ones, and screw in the new ones. For the fronts, you'll need to remove the door panels.

Keep in mind that simply installing those speakers without an amp won't sound very good - especially the Type R.

 

its a start, but really you only need an amp if you want bass off the speakers, if you just need high freqencies, then tweeters and midrage drivers (but Alpine doesnt make 3-way speakers, so just tweeter in your case) dont take too much power to properly operate.......... either way, yeah the rear deck speakers are easy, the front sets CAN be done without having to remove the doors, but it takes some serious effort

 

so i need an amp to power these speakers? what if i'm running an after market alpine deck?
