hints to re-install factory stereo in dash?

factory am/fm cassette/CD from a '96 2.5 TL. The unit is out of the car right now (I didn't take it out) along with the trim surround plate and I'd like to re-install it.
The trim surround plate is slightly bigger than the opening in the dash, so there must be a few simple tricks to get the trim surround plate behind the dash face.
I'm sure some of you guys must have taken out and re-installed the factory stereo, so could you pass along some tips?
(I've asked on the gen 1 board, but, got no responses, so hopefully someone reading this board can help)
Thanks,

never mind.
I was hoping someone could have pointed out that the woodgrain dash trim plate is just held in place by pressure clips and that by gently prying the woodgrain panel off the dashboard, I could slide the entire radio and trim plate behind the removed dash panel, screw the radio back into place and then replace the woodgrain trim plate overtop of the radio.
