high pitched noise is driving my crazy!
I had an xm commander installed a while back in my tsx and later got the shond. Immediately after hooking it up, engine noise flooded my ears. Modaway offered some help and recommended moving the xm receiver to the trunk and to rewire the rca and power cables through the center console. That helps in that when i accelerate, the engine noise doesnt increase. Instead, theres just a constant high pitched annoying tone.
Ive tried searching where the noise is coming from… when I disconnect the rcas from the receiver, the noise is gone. This means that its coming from either the receiver the power cord right? Ive tried different grounding points and have scraped the paint which could have also been the problem, but this didn’t help. Does anyone know if I can fix this stupid thing!?!?

Are you only experiencing the engine noise when you use the XM Commander?

Did you try switchin' out the RCAs? Maybe you have some bad RCA's.
Also, Take off your storage bin and the center transmission area covers. And then have someone drive a little, while you experiment with moving the SNHOND3 and GLI, around to different areas. You'll find that just a little bit of movement will effect the ground noise.
