hi ive been looking into subs and amps for my new car and i came to a "stand still"...

i was planning on getting ONE Kicker Solo-baric 12 inch L7 for about $300 (with enclosure)..

i am now contemplating what kind of amp to get ...

i saw someone recommend the HiFonics Brabus BX1500D to power the same sub, but money is also an issue..

I ran across the "Lightning Audio Digital STORM Mono Car Amplifier 1000W" amp on ebay for cheap prices (under 100) and see it has about the same specs as the Brabus.
1 channel
600 watts at 4ohms
1000 watts at 2ohms

My question is.... will the Lightning audio digital power the L7 fine?? (im not looking for earth shattering bass, just something for some "boom") or is it the $200 difference worth it to get the brabus?? i do not have unlimited money sources btw.

would anyone recommend 3 MTX 10" 6000's over ONE L7?

any additional amps + sub suggestions will be kindly appreciated. THANKS.

first of all...you get what you pay for so dont ever touch something you can get from WalMart...I cant believe you are even considering that amp. Save your money and get quality stuff....like Ive said before, you are driving a nice car, why put a shitty system in it?

Properly powered, I would pick the 3 10's over the Kicker L7. The Kickers do pound, but they dont have the sound quality. they only work well in a big ass ported box, and the over all sound isnt there unless all you want is boom - you said you didnt. Look at JL Audio, you could get 1 JL Audio 12W3V2 with a solid 300 watts to it and you will be very happy. Just go listen at some local shops before you buy anything
