the whole car is wired already, subs, amp, everything expept the head unit

alrite so i removed the whole center console and everything, and took out my alpine head unit. theres 4 preouts on the back and i have two rc cables and ive tried every combination and the systems still not hitting. a homie wired the car and theres a thin silver wire thats right next to the RC and i have no idea what it is.

im assuming that its not hitting because the thin silver wire needs a purpose. what could it be and where do i stick it. i dont recognize anything on the back that it might fit in.

alrite i wired that....but the subs still arent coming on

now im geuss its my RCs, theres 2 red plugins and 2 white, and ive tried every combo and still nothing...one says right and one says left, which should i plug these into

 

Does the LED on the amp show it on and that it's not in protection?

 

when you say not hitting, do you mean the subs are playing and just not hitting hard ? if so, sounds like you have the polarity reversed on one of the subs.

if theres no sound coming out of the subs at all, then that could be due to a lotta different reasons.

 

the amp isnt even showing any signal, and its all wired up. so now im geussing its the ground, so im going to sand it down i geuss

does anyone know a good grounding point on a 2000 TL
