Headunit Aux. Input!
I found it I found it!
I hooked up with mcdanjw and he hipped me to a pretty nifty switch. Check it out here: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-JKo1MHB...=158XA39II&s=0
This switch will take the output from the headunit (transferred to RCA plugs) as 1 input and allow you to choose WHATEVER INPUT YOU WANT for a second input! You then flip a switch to select which input you are listening to.
Mcdanjw helped me get mine working last night and it is perfect! I can now hook my dvd player's audio directly to the factory amp and speakers instead of using the HORRIBLE RF modulator that I had!

I've got one for a Sony head unit that actually uses a digital changer cable to connect to the head unit. It basically lets you have you're own inputs. I used it to put audio from a separate video system in the audio system. It only works with Sony compatible head units, but let me know if you or anyone wants to buy it.

Black99CL: I needed that about 2 months ago and I ended up ordering it from Sony for 100bucks. Damn, the new 770 has the aux input built in, guess I should have waited a year.http://home.adelphia.net/~jayhowell/Stereo.htm

All they are is plastic housing. It says visor kit but they don't give you any directions on how to mount it. It's just the LCD monitor, the housing and the larger housing for the small one. Didn't take long, about 1 1/2 hrs to remove the mirror, trim out the rest of the hole and mount it. Wiring power for it was tricky, I couldn't use the power to the mirror because then the monitor would only come on when I turned on the parking lights. Anyway, I stole the juice from the lights by the rear view mirrors. My girl loves it because when we go on trips she'll sit back and throw in a DVD.

Very cool. Where did you get the monitor and housing? I've got a Kenwood LZ-700W (widescreen, touchpannel, etc.) but I'm not sure where to put it. Thought maybe I'd get a smaller screen and do somthing like you did. How much did it all cost ya?
