My dad had one of the very first ones on his old 96 Bonivelle SSE. It really is awesome.

I think it would be almost impossible to have that added to a car that doesn't already have it as an option because you need a special windshield to be able to handle the output from the display box built into the dash. I think it would be a very cool option and just like the vette you can have it only show the things you want.

I may be wrong, but it should'nt need a "special" windsheid to reflect the image. Next time you are out diving around during the day take a look in your rear view mirror and notice the refection of the "Bose" emblem in your rear glass which is mounted on the rear deck above the sub. Now just imagine if that emblem was illuminated. It's all a matter of the viewing angle. I've dealt with this stuff in aviation and it could definately be done to "any" car. The real problem is projecting the image with the right intensity at the right angle for the viewer to see it properly.

I doubt it would ever pay off for someone to bring it to fruition, kinda like the RES

it could definatly be added, at what cost i dont know... I remeber watching a bad ass Supra video or tv show and the guy used some displays that looked just like that and put them in the, on the dash, the result was a heads up display... even though our glass is clear, it will act like a mirror a slight angle... that is the principle here.. I think you can see this by looking in your rear view mirror, you will see the bose emblem apear, it is the same principle..

It 'could' probably be done by playing with the angles, but I know on the vettes it is a different windshield. Also I have had my dash out before and we really don't have too much room behind the guages, etc... It would be a real PITA to cut into our dash as well
