how do u remove the stock head unit?

You have to remove the center console wood trim. Open the armrest cover and tray and pull the side trim up starting at the back to release the first clip. Then pull up as you move forward toward the stereo. When you have the first 4 clips out start pulling towards the rear and wiggle the trim a little and the it will pop out. Then you'll have access to the 6 (or so) screws holding the h/u in place. You may want to remove to two vinyl trim pieces (under the side wood trim) to have better access to the wiring etc. But then you'll have to remove the center console too. But it's easy - getting yourself to pull off the wood trim is the hardest part
