I Have He Kenwood Unit It Looks Much Cleaner Like It Came With The Car Plus U Can Do Alot Of Things With It On The Pioneer U Cant Watch A Dvd And Have The Nav Going All At Once U Have To Keep The Disc In

THE PICS SUCK CAUSE I TOOK THEM LAST MINUTE BEFORE I LEFT FOR WORK, BUT I LIKE IT! YOU SET YOUR OWN BACKGROUNDS AND LOAD THE PICTURES OFF OF A CD-R AND I'VE BEEN HAVING FUN WITH IT!


you can....just set the destination and it will save the road map to the harddrive (15GB)... It shows 10miles of road all around where you are traveling...

What kind of installation kit did you put on it. I think the Metra Kit had a CD pocket below the single din. Yours look kinda wierd in the Middle. The plastic that goes around it looks like it has sime texture too it. Doesn't look stock. Also were do they put the GPS antenna? Is it hidden or did they put it on the hood or roof?

its a customkit he made it out of wood and than covered it with vynil, which is the same texture as what the dash it made out of.... The GPS atenna is hidden in the dash he custom cut a hole it it near the windshield and mounted it in there where it looks flush you can barely tell its there... and he covered it with the same material used on the kit so you can not tell the atenna is there... very good job w/ hifi buys i havent had a problem with them yet A+

But you know Metra makes a plastic kit for it. I think it looks cleaner that way.

Some people have said the metra kit rattles so i didnt go with it...mine is made of wood w/ fabric put around it to match the dash..

also...did yah bypass the video so u can watch dvd while driving and get into an accident?

No only an idiot like you would do that....I havent had the time to bypass the video yet...I'm not going to use it to watch DVD's really, but more to use all hte options of the navigation because many of the functions are turned off when the car is in motion...such was programing destinations. The Point of Interest is disabled also through the Screen, but you can use it through the voice command...

yo i got the N1 also, how did u load pictures from Cd-r to the background

Make a folder named /BG/ on a CD-R and load up to 20 Pictures
Than load data, no MP3's just random data, until the disk hits 100MB Cause it takes 100 MB to make the N1 read it... than when we select background select import from disk and pick a picture and make sure the picture is in JPEG format.

well dere i other use of dvd player while drivnig. such as playing music video or concert DVD cd in there and enjoy. i wuz juss being sarcastic there.

I would use the DVD player....Burn about 4.7GB of music on one DVD sounds good...

i am looking to install a navigation system / dvd player, i have one thousand to spend...any suggestions, not looking for flashy looking for functionality.

that would be a tough for only $1000 you would have to look on ebay for a navi system or maybe a used one...
