Favorite XM Channels
For those with the 04 TLs....
What are your favorite XM channels... What are your 12 presets?
and why do you like them!
And will you keep XM afrer your trial runs out!
I think it is amazing!
Mike

Some of us older TL guys have it too, LOL...
Regardless, XM is the best thing to happen to my music life since Napster and CD burners...And making it complimentary for a few months guarantees a ton of additional subscribers.
BPM, 90's on 9 (Girl 2.0!), Ethel, Live, Top 20 on 20 all rock.

Well Mike I don't have such a nice fine new car as you with XM radio. I do however have a 2000 TL that I have had just about 4yrs now. It has XM radio that I got put in over a year & a half ago. I have the Pioneer XM moudulated tuner that is hooked up to the factory TL head unit. It has a great sound but is not quite like the full XM head unit. My sound is better than CD quality so thats okay with me. I did not get the full AM/FM/XM head unit because I have factory DVD Nav System in my car. I did not want to change the head unit in the car because I would need to change the speakers & everything . I went with the Pioneer unit that cost at that time $199. XM had a rebate of $50 to the installer of that unit then. I have 18 presets with blue screen that displays XM Channel name or song artist or song name. I have the Terk XM 3 antenna mounted on the roof. I did have a Pioneer Trunk mount but the wires got worn. I have XM 60 Soul Street as my number one preset. Here is my list for some others
XM 64 The Groove, Suite 62, The Flow 61, Blusesvile 74, Real Jazz 70, The City 67 if I want to listen to some young boy stuff. I have Fox Sports, ESPN NEWS, NASCAR, E & a few others like CHROME that plays disco music.
I just love XM & have not purchased a CD since I got XM. The reason is I like good old soul music like James Brown or music from the 1960-1970s this is what I was buying on CD before I got XM. I wanted to get more into Jazz & the Blues but did not see myself going out buying CDs for this type of music. I am here in Washington D.C. & pass by the XM studio all the time. Its a big old printing company that they re did for XM. If XM stays around my next new car will also have it. Everbody that gets in my car just loves the old music that XM plays. I am almost 42yrs old & don't buy music like I once did. If its not to personal Mike may I ask what age you are? I think more mid to older people might enjoy XM more because we are not buying CDs,Tapes & Records like we once did. XM also gives you a good chance to listen to newer music that I might not go out & buy just for one song. The regular radio has to many commercials for me.

FTM, I am going to have to try those soul channels that you mentioned. I too listen to the Jazz and blues channels.
I am an old rocker so I like 46-Top Tracks and the longer running songs from 40-Deep Tracks. Folk rock on 50-The Loft.
When the kids are in the car, they like 115-Disney. And if I want to put them to sleep I tune into 103-Audio Visions (new age). Does it everytime!
