factory alarm acting up
I'm staying at a hotel and the valet says that my alarm has been going off periodically throughout the day. Has anyone had a similar problem? Also, I there a way to disable the alarm but keep the power locks (not that the power locks are that crucial, just a convenience issue)?
Thanks in advance. |
Check your battery terminals, and make sure all your doors, trunk and hood are all shut all the way. Could also mean your battery is dying
|
could also be your locking sensors inside your door. mine went bad on the driver side. i guess just from being old. i checked with the dealership and they are about 180 each.

Since this is along the same... when I had my remote starter installed I lost my "chirp" that is letting you know the alarm is armed correct? is there anyway I can get that back?
|
mine only chirps sometimes lol no idea why.
|
yeah my chirp doesnt work anymore. oh well. must be something with old age.

That would be your remote, when the bat starts to go bad it stops working all the time, if you set it it will keep going
It's your remote, hold the trunk and lock buttons till it flashes, and it'll chirp :toocool: |
yeah.. my battery blinks everytime i push the button, and it locks and unlocks perfectly fine. but it only chirps like once every 5 weeks haha
