when my sub hits, the wires inside the box rattle and it sucks, i tried wrapping foam around it but it still sounds crappy, but then i turned the sub around, so the face of the sub was facing in the box, there was no rattle at all.....what the heck

so can ileave the sub like this or is it a bad idea?

 

You can leave it like that if u want, to the human ear almost all people could not hear the difference. Or you could just cut the wires a little shorter.

Really does not hurt a thing to invert subs. Alot of people will do that where they do not have enough mounting depth. The only down size is they are not easy to make stealth but, if you are inverting, you really are not concerned with that.
