eliminated a new rattle...

well now that i have added some bass to my system i have discovered several new rattles and so far have been able to eliminate each one myself.

the most recent one that i found that was quite annoying was coming from the cloth covering the ceiling. that cloth is attached to a plastic sheet it seems and where that plastic meets metal towards the back of my car, near the rear glass, it was vibrating like crazy when i has my tunes cranked up. since it would have been a pain in the ass to put dynamat in this spot i decided to try something new. i cut off a piece of a regular house sponge and stuffed it under the plastic in between where it touches the metal on the roof. now there is no rattles and nothing but nice clean booming bass in my car.

Jigga means ceiling.....

Thanks for the heads-up. What have you done about the door rattles - particularly the passenger door around the speaker?

actually i don't have that particular rattle. i'm planning on replacing the door speakers eventually and putting some dynamat door kits in at the same time. i've heard people say that the rattles in their doors went away after replacing the speakers with aftermarket ones.
