And people in the know can tell you of better products for your money.

learn how to deaden a car here www.sounddeadenershowdown.com and purchase there, or also you can buy from www.raamaudio.com and do quite well.

Its not all about mat.

Personally, I like Second Skin products. It's around the cost of what you'll pay for Dynamat at a shop, but it works much better.

Deadener can make a world of difference. I personally use Peel and Seal(i know someone will disagree with me) because of the cost and it does a decent job of quieting my trunk rattles some. If i wasnt a college kid I would defiantly buy some Second Skin products. I havent used them yet, but i know alot of people have and say it is amazing.

Its a somewhat simple physics lesson to understand why not to use Peel and Seal. Back in the day when Dynamat first came out, they used asphalt. In this way P&S works the same. However, thanks to engineers who took the time to figure things out, we now have visco-elastic butyl-based rubber in deadener. This change in design makes a very significant impact in the effectiveness of deadening materials. Asphalt-based products work off the concept of mass-loading whatever they are attached to, which is inefficient. Butyl-based products do mass-load, but they also take the vibration energy and convert it to low-level heat within the visco-material, so a much smaller amount of material can be used to greater effect.

Per the SDS website I cited, you can also learn of MLV and CCF materials, both critical if you are after a truly "Dead" ride.
