DVX100/XA118/SNHOND3/NavTV
has any one tried this w/ a tsx w/ nav option:
the snhond3 controls sony unilink
the sony dvx100 dvd changer is converted to unilink through the xa118
with a nav tv interface, could you then use factory changer controls to control the dvd player and get picture? if this will work, it would be a sweet interface. you may still have to use a wireless remote(maybe hide the eye in an airvent) to control all functions- like menu, etc.

That should work pretty well... Sony has a converter now for that changer and Unilink?
I gotta warn you, that changer is bought off the shelf by Sony from the same people that make it for a whole lotta lower-end manufacturers. It uses a Sanyo mechanism, not a Sony (that's why it's not Unilink), does not use the Sony magazine, and is not up to Sony standards of quality or design.
It has a tendency to occasionally eject the magazine while the door is closed. The magazine then catches the lip of the inside of the door, and then the door can't slide open. Fix: Pull on the door with one hand while slapping the front of the changer, hard, with your other hand - knocks the mag back enough to open the door : )
On the other hand, it's fairly affordable, Sony put a better user interface on it than the OE did, and it seems to have OK Video quality (it's not a great-sounding CD player).
