I have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2's and my trunk rattles like crazy. I'm in the process of selling my HX2s and getting 3 Kicker L7s and before I install them I'm going to Dynamat my entire trunk. I would advise to get some dynamat....it makes a huge difference

Yes, but don't expect it to help with the rattles. You really need to identify the location of the rattle and fix it.

I highly recommend Cascade as a damping material. Ron (StreetEffectz did my trunk with it and it is so solid.

nsxnext have you used dynamat before because if you have and you think cascade is better then i'll go with cascade but seriously i dont see how brands for damping material matter i jus want something fairly priced and a good buy for the money

I've heard cars with Cascade, Dynamat & Brown Bread. To be honest with you...there's no noticeable. The only difference is the ease of installation & cost. I believe Brown Bread is the cheapest...it can be found at B-quiet.com

If you don't mind the smell of Dynamat, go with it. Cacade has no odor. On a hot day, Dynamat stinks.

Never tried Brown Bread but I've heard it's good too. If price is an issue, go with BB, otherwise I recommend Cascade. I've tried Dynamat and Cascade and Cascade sticks like a mother. Dynamat comes off too easily.

the only reason i would go with dynamat again is because my friend works at best buy and he was gonna hook me up

Why dont you go to Lowes and get "Peal N Seal". It costs bout 11 bucks for a roll of 6"x25' and works just as good as dynamat. You could probably use about 4 rolls and do about 2 layers in the entire trunk if not 3. that and expandable foam should seal your trunk up tighter than fort knox!

You don't NEED to dynamat it but it's a good idea...it will definitely decrease rattles. I always use Cascade in my installs...if that helps.
