Unhappy In dire need of wiring help!

I am writing this in desparation, so pardon if they're any misspellings and such. Me and the wifey were supposed to go out of town today. I had the great idea of installing my pioneer deck in her car for the trip, so the kids could watch DVDs. I have a CL (2nd gen) and she has a TL (second gen), so I thought it would be an even swap. I hooked it all up, and I can barely hear any sound coming from the speakers in the doors with the volume maxed out. Nothing at all from the sub by the high stoplight other than very low staticky humming.

I try to reinstall her factory HU, and she has lost the damned card I put in the glovebox with the codes! Now there is basically no type of entertainment in the car, and she has to leave tonight. What has compounded everything is that I cannot go now, and this situation is about to spiral out of control.

I need help figuring out how to get the sound to come through the aftermarkt HU, or a universal code of some sort for the factory HU. I only have an hour or so to get this done before we have a major argument, been working on it since 3! Please help me my fellow 'Ziners!!!

Any install experts know what I need to do? I've pretty much figured out that Im not going to find a universal code, and I dont know of anywhere the codes were secretly stashed other than what I put in there. I cannot for the life of me figure out why this deck will not play in her car. I know the speaker setup is different, but the harness cannot have that much of a variation. If she has to ride for 7 hours overnight with no sound, I've got problems!

Maybe do some research and see if it's the same harness from Metra(same P/N#).. There are plenty of differences in the two cars..

CL has tweeters.
TL has sub, no tweeters, EQ.

There's plenty of differences possibly enough to be in the situation you're in..

And my post above you just need your radio serial number possibly more if you call Acura.

oh wow...so its the metra harness? I've gotta find a store that sells them...NOW! Thanks Jonesi.

On another note, I didn't buy the car new, and I didn't have any luck on that acura site. Thanks anyway for the links, and all your help!

It doesn't matter if you bought it new or used, I believe all you need from the Acura one is the VIN #, Radio S/N# and a few other things..

The other link all you need is the Radio S/N# and a few bucks..

Double check those Metra #'s as I don't remember whether I selected Navi or non navi etc..

I also saw your other post. I would eliminate the subwoofer hookup for now. Get it back to basics and start fresh.
