differential inputs
Is there any difference between differentially balanced inputs and differential inputs? I bought mermans adapter and need to find an amp that is compatible. I know the jl's have the balanced inputs and the kicker zx700.5 has differential inputs. any help will be apreciated, exspecialy if anyone has used a kicker zx series amp

I don't really know the difference but I do know that balanced inputs don't pick up engine/alternator noise. I'm running a JL 300/4 with Mercman's harness and have zero noise, sounds great!

I had planned on running the Kicker ZX700.5, but ended up getting a great deal on a JL 500/5 instead. The latest Rockford Fosgate "Power" series amps should work as well.
Some of the higher-end brands use balanced inputs too, like Zapco and Xtant, but I think the Zapco still requires a line driver.
