shawhite, that would be GREAT news indeed!! I'm tired of no installers around here being able to fabricate a decent looking piece. they do it, but damn I can do better .. Stuff like this takes time and I dont think any of them are willing to spend extra time on it. I really dont blame em considering they're tryin to make money. I was about to invent something on my own and take like couple days to design one but hopefully if this comes out, I wouldn't have to worry about it!

I can't really tell by looking at the pics but if you installed a double din unit you might be able to use their HU cover after trimming the inside part out. After all we are just looking for a factory match on the edges only. is my thinking flawed?

iggy, internally there are a few issues surrounding the mounting of an aftermarket unit. sure you can drive a bolt thru the original brackets, but then you have this unit that's kinda 'braced' there. Either way, there's some hacking to be done to get it to work. Also, the radio itself has little arms to hold up the cd holder in non nav tl's If you use an aftermarket unit, you need to hack up more little brackets to hold that cd holder in place. I hope the kit takes that into consideration. And finally, you have people like me who really dont know what to put into the second DIN spot as my head unit includes almost everything. Maybe a more detailed EQ than the built in one .. hmmm...
