custom enclosure in drivers side rear quarter panel ***pics***

I'm in the process of replacing my standard type ported 10" enclosure with a more custom box that with fit snuggly in the left rear quarter panel of the trunk. Main modivation is to gain back my trunk space.
question is has it been done before? and i understand that the best sound is accomplished by facing the sub toward the back of the trunk(like i have it now) but how will it sound aiming across the trunk left to right?

There's no way of telling how it will sound. You have to test it out yourself. Sometimes it'll sound better than facing the sub directly to the rear of the car and sometimes it wont. Whenever I've had subs in my car...I move them around to see where I get the most output.

Do you have any pics of the install?

well it sounds great and I HAVE MY TRUNK BACK the old box wasnt that big just fix behind my navi dvd unit, but the trunk looks huge now that its gone.
it really is a good spot for a 8" or 10" (as in my case).if i wanted to spend the $ id have a fiberglass molded box made in the same spot.
the pics will come later, after the carpet job.
actually how do you post pics here ive never been able to. i thought it was me but i posted all my pics at a-inspired with no probs.

I think you have to have the pics hosted at another website and then post a link to them here...which will then display the pic in your post.
