![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I'm looking to get an alarm and remote car starter combination for my TL-S when it comes in, and from what I've gathered Clifford makes the best ones out there. The ones I am looking into right now are the Solaris and the AvantGuard 4. Has anyone out there had experience with either of these models? I'd appreciate any likes, dislikes, price paid with installation, etc. to help me decide. If anyone has another alarm that might fit the bill, I'd like to hear about that too.
Thanks!![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Clifford (now part of DEI) does make top-notch aftermarket alarms. I had a Clifford Supernova II alarm installed on my '97 Maxima SE with a remote starter and never had a false alarm or a single problem with it. It was absolutely perfect for what I need.
I'm scheduled to take my TL-S in to Tweeter in Holyoke, MA on Thursday to have a Clifford Concept 100 with remote start installed. Total with installation is $679. Not the cheapest I'm sure, but I know the guy who runs the mobile department and he really knows his stuff. The Concept 100 is a basic alarm but it does have glass break, two-stage shock sensor, etc and you can add on remote start (like I am) as well as smart windows, etc. The Solaris and AvantGuard 4 are very impressive if you need those types of features, but I've had trouble finding a reputable installer in the area that has those (Tweeter only stocks the Concept line).

I dont have that model Clifford but if you can afford an Avant Guard get it. I did not get the auto start feature when I got my Clifford IG8000 installed 18 months ago. I put add -ons like pager & back-up siren & more. But you will like the many features on the Avant Guard. The anticarjacking self recovery system is great this is found on most mid & upper end Cliffords.
