CL Headrest Monitors

I didnt want to highjack the other thread, so im posting my own. Anybody have any pics? Im assuming they cut out your headrests to insert the monitors. How big of a screen will fit our headrests? They seems kind of small.. I know a guy that owns an audio/video shop, so i will mostly ask him the questions, but I just want to see some pics and ask what you guys would recommend.

thanks

I've had my installer do the measurements and he said he can fit 6" monitors in my headrests. he said that 7" would be pushing it because of the contours of our headrests...my goeal is to have it done by the end of September. A ways off...but it is on the top of my list to do.

And yes they cut them into your headrests if you want the smooth custom look...but some people who don't care about streamline installs just use brackets to hold them to the headrest which IMO is for mini-vans only!

Which headrests to the Type-S CL have? As many as I've done, I don't remember if they are the ones with the cutouts in the middle and are shaped like an "A" - is that them? Just curious so I know which pictures to post.

i think thats how you would describe them. Their cutout on the bottom of the headrest, not the middle obviously. Can you please throw up some pics? I would appreciate it.

So i went to my audio guy and he gave me a couple quotes. Tell me if you think this is a good deal or not. He can do 1 of 2 things.

1-Use existing headrests, place 2 6inch Farenheit(are these good?) monitors in each, mount them, wire it all up to my HU for $700.

2-take the TL headrests, place 2 7inch monitors in there, mount, wire it all up for about $925 or so.

Im thinking of going with #1 cause I like the style headrest i have that came with the car.

My installer is going to charge me $75/headrest to do the install. He usually charges $150/headrest but is cutting me a deal cause he's my buddy. So if that guy is your buddy he should cut you a better deal.
