CDR's skipping

Recently when I play CDrs in my 03 TL-s I've noticed skipping sounds. It was not like this before. I do not believe it is the brand of CDR I am using either. I'm wondering if I simply need to clean the laser on the stock HU. Can I even do that? Is this a problem that most people face? What can I do?

no you dont clean the laser on a CD player...never attempt to do that. Is the CD kinda old? I mean burned cd's dont resist scratches near as good as a real cd. I have noticed that myself, I will have to reburn the cd after a few months.

CDRs are newly burned cds. For whatever reason there are glitches in some songs. I said "skipping" before... that's probably not the most accurate word.
