he's a moron. You can do it from the trunnk in 10 minutes. Just unplug the stock amp and splice the input speaker wires with the output. Done

i ended up frustrated, i couldent figure out how to get an rca line out from the speaker out leads from the amp, anyhow i ended up putting in a pioneer 750mp, some jl vr front coaxils, boston 6x9's a jl10w6v2, and a couple of amps. It sound better than i could have imagined. It only cost around 1100$ well worth it. I guess i could have figured out the rca problem, after i chopped the harness of the amp i figured out the power, ground and 12volt conatant and all the speaker wires just couldent figure out how to get a signal wire from the preamped wires, its probably easier then i thought. oh well, it sound damn good now.

Question for everyone.....

I installed an alpine 9833 head unit, running its own internal amplifier. Is it necessary to bypass the stock amp or should I just leave it the way it is?

you can "bypass" the amp by locating the amp (in the trunk in front of the tire jack) pulling the harnness and splicing the speaker wires together. There are 2 sets of wires for every speaker. one going into the amp(preamped) and one exiting the amp(amplified). Figure wich is wich, and splice them together, now when you wire the new HU it will bypass the amp, If you do bypass the amp you need to run something at 1.5-2ohms, that is what the stock speakers run at. the alpine isnt 2 ohm stable, you will get about 1/2the totall volume with a 4 ohm impedance coming from the HU get an amp and new speakers, well worth it .
