Bypassing safety feature on pioneer monitor

Does anyone know how to bypass the safety feature on the Pioneer AVH-p6000 monitor? What I mean is that instead of having to have the car in parked with the ebrake up, my friend wants to have other people in the car be able to watch DVDs. Thanks and have a wonderful day.

if it is like the avx-p7300dvd unit you just ground the green wire that goes to the ebrake... i believe there is also a green wire on the control unit if you have one that will need to be grounded...

That's weird, I just put my Pioneer TV in and it doesn't do that. I have never had to put it in park with the ebrake on?! Maybe I just got it installed "right"!

Well if you had a shop do it...usually they would run the monitor with the safety feature...some shop will bypass it if you ask them to do it with a waiver signed. But all monitor decks have this feature when using, I believe the DVD playing or anything other than navi, you have to be parked with the ebrake up.
