Blitzsafe for iPod - Anyone else have this problem?

I purchased the Blitzsafe unit for an iPod several months ago for my 2005 TSX with Navi. Since then, I have replaced it a few times, the latest with the new version that allows XM. The reason for the exchanges is that the CD/Aux button will not always switch to CD-C (goes to XM1 or XM2 only). This latest variation of the unit does the same thing, although switches to CD-C a little more regularly than previous ones.

Does this happen to anyone else? I have been unable to find a consistent pattern that causes this error to occur - has anyone else? Is there a way to prevent this? When the unit allows the proper switching, it works great (get iPod, XM1 and XM2 clear as a bell).

As of today, they are officially advertising (in the forums on BS) the aux/xm compatible unit, so maybe you need to update one more time.

I spoke to Victor at Blitzsafe. They are aware of this issue with the CD-C not working. They are having trouble consistently replicating this problem so they can solve it. He asked I call back in a week to see if they have solved it. At least I know it is not just me.

I had this problem with my blitzsafe (it almost never switched over) and I returned it. Payed the extra money and bought a Dension that actually works. I wouldn't count on them fixing this anytime soon, if you search through the forums it looks like this has been going on for a long time.

I still have the pre-XM version (have not sent back yet) which, if you disconnect the XM antenna, will work whether the HU switches to CD-C, XM1 or XM2 (I don't subscribe to XM right now anyway, so not a big deal for me). If you don't care what the HU display says, it works ok.

04Rob, do you have a "switch" located somewhere to access the ipod?
