Red face Blitz vs. Icelink for 01' CL-S?

Im sick of all the crappy iPod adaptors and I have a few simple questions:

1. Blitz vs. Icelink?

2. Would it be better to just purchase a double-din deck rather than a blitz/ice adapter?

3. Would these adapters support the installation of an additional subwoofer?

Any advice is appreciated

1. They change and update all the time. You'll have to read the manufactures site for the positives and negatives.

2. Depends. Personal preference. Changing the headunit you lose the steering wheel controls, 6 disc in dash and Navi voice.

3. No not that I know of. But check the product.

I have no nav, is it worth the extra $$$ to buy a nice double-din and have the options of adding additional audio components, or is it still satisfying to settle with stock and add the auxillary for ipod?

Any suggestions? I dont have a lot of knowledge in this area.

Has anyone gone through the same process?

Well.. To be honest I think the bose system is pretty good but it's a matter of personal preference.

You can add a sub to any factory headunit using a LOC. So personally I'd go with the $100 auxillary iPod and know you can add a sub if you want to. Replacing the speakers in a CL is a lot of work if you're 18 and have no knowledge of how to do it yourself. Not to mention cost.

I think you'll be content with the aux iPod.

Thanks for your advice,

I do love the bose system, it sounds unreal but I would really like the additional noise with another sub.

Ill take your advice and start with the AUX input, and eventually figure out which LOC is compatible with the Bose system.

What specs should i be looking for when choosing the AUX input?

There's not really "specs" you're looking for.. Just the features which are more personal preference. Sound quality and spec wise they are all pretty much dead on with each other.
