Best ipod solution for new member with 04 TSX?
Can anyone guide me to a good solution for ipod integration in my 04 TSX without Navi.
I am new to these forums and a fairly new (1 month old) TSX owner but I see that there are a few different options out there. (dice, usa spec etc..)
If possible I want to be able to change tracks with steering wheel controls, see track info on display, and still have manual controls via the ipod. Im sure there is a solution out there but I would love to hear from someone who has it currently in there car.
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hey ofusball21,
yeah man. go to pie.net. They have a BUNCH of awesome stuff like the type you are looking for. Out of personal experience, I would suggest you buy the AUXHON02 or something like that. It doesnt include the steering wheel controls like you were looking for, but it does come in handy in the instance that you want to integrate a DVD player or something in your car. it just depends on what you want and how you want to integrate it in the future. it is BY FAR, the best investment I have made in my car.

that would have been a good one to get maybe 4 years ago, but there are a plethora of better options now, including ones that keep your steering wheel controls.
If you want a rock solid unit, get the USA SPEC PA11-hon2y. It just never fails, and does ipod and aux input.
If you want text from your ipod to display on your screen, but are willing to give up direct control of the ipod and deal with the occasional hiccup, check out the DiCE products.
Those would be my (current) recommendations.

Thanks for the response. I actually picked up the USA Spec last week and got it installed the other day. Fairly straightforward installation and I am very happy with the results. The quality is incredible and I still like manually controlling the iPod for certain things.

Hey guys, I too am looking for a good, clean iPod solution for my TSX. I have an 08 without Navi. I do use the XM, and would like to keep it, and I'd like to have text on the display. Control from the iPod click wheel is not necessary, as long as I can select my music on the display by Album, Artist, Playlist, etc. And I want to be able to use my steering wheel controls. I know, I'm picky. Anyway, does anybody know of any units that do that? From my web research, I've come across the P.I.E. Hon03. Does anybody know about that one?

Please search through the threads top learn what does what. The pie one is an aux only. No text, subpar performance. The short story is you can't have ipod text and XM. You can have fully functional ipod (not text displayed) and XM with text. Those are your options, and pick the equipment you want based on that. Give the "search" button a workout, all the info on all the units is already out there.

the one from best buy does ipod text and XM. i have it. it doesnt work well with the iphone (the text part) but it does work for the 2G nano. I haven tried any others but i assume it should work for all of the other ipods except the touch and iphone.
With the iphone it shows the text for the current song playing but it doesn't allow song selection so every time i plug it in, it starts with the first song on the first album.
