Basslink placement question

Basslink placement question
I am planning on getting a basslink soon. I've read some DYIs and I was wondering if it was possible to place the basslink where the spare tire was. Would that help or hurt the sound? I would think that placing it there would help create boxed sub sort of sound, but I'm guessing on that. I've never really lifted up the bottom mat of the trunk so I'm not even sure if it will fit but has anyone tried anything like this? What is the most common place to place this sub, on the left so it doesn't take up space? Where should i place it for hte best sound. And, do you think teh bass is enough or would you say it needed more. I listen to mainly alternative music so i don't hink i need heat beating bass just a little more piunch to add to the stock stuff. and before any of you flame me I did try to search before I even thought about posting this topic.

You could set it up like that. Not sure why though. You would have to pull your spare tire. Most people have them under the rear deck facing towards the trunk like this
Some guys have it in the corner of the trunk too.
The basslink should be fine for what you want. It's not going to rattle windows, & you won't be heard coming down the block, but it does kick inside the car. I listen to some bass heavy stuff, & I have no need for any more bass to enjoy it. One piece of advise. You will need to spend some time to adjust it just right. Took me over an hour to get it to sound the way I like it. If you can, get 1 with the remote volume control, this way you can adjust just the output to the music you listen to from the drivers seat. Also the bass control on teh head unit will have an effect on the basslink, so you need to take that into account when adjusting it.
