Back-up Camera & DVD Player

Hi Acuraziners:

I hope you can share your insight with me on this topic because I am not very knowledgeable in this area. I have a 2001 Acura CL-S with factory navigation. I have just purchased a navigation conversion kit that will allow me use the factory navigation screen to play DVDs and use a back-up camera.

As of right now I am planning on purchasing a Power Acoustik PADVD-450 Half-Din DVD/MP3 Player and installing it underneath the radio where the ashtray and outlet are. So the first two questions are:

1) Does anyone know of a better half-din DVD player? I am not interested in a gaming system, only a DVD player.

2) Your thoughts on the location? Know of a better location that is easily accessible?

Now the part I am really having trouble with- there are all the types of back-up cameras out on the market today; which one is the best to use with the CL’s rear bumper structure? Next two questions:

1) Should I go for the stand alone camera, similar to what you would see on an MDX or M45, or should I go for the license plate with the camera (are those more prone to theft)?

2) And there are a lot of cameras out on the market so do people have any suggestions?

I know this is a lot of information, but as always, your feedback is appreciated. I have read a lot of prior posts but you know that a lot of this tech stuff changes very fast so I appreciate your feedback. Thanks!
