Audio and floor mat questions...

I just bought an '03 TL type S and am new to the forum. I will preface my post by saying I don't know a ton about cars, just the basics. I love the car, but I would really like a little better sound quality out of the audio...mainly a little more bass. Is it possible to get a subwoofer or something else to give me a little more? I don't want a real expensive system, just something a little better.

Also, I would like to get new floor mats. I called the local Acura dealer and they would cost $125 from there. That's not bad, but I thought I may be able to find some OEM mats cheaper on the web. I'm not having luck on that, though. Anyone have any sites they like for accessories like that?

Thanks.

for the mats, try the Black Market thread on this site or EBAY. a lot of times you can get a brand new, packaged set of OEM mats for $50... just keep an eye out for them

ya just add a small sub in the trunk. a decent 8 inch will prob give 3-4 times more bass than the stock one. if you want it to hit really low tones then the bigger the better. ( quality permitting)

Thank you very much for the info, guys. I will hold off on new mats until I find some cheaper ones.

About the sub, do you recommend any particular type? Would it be better to get a Bose, or is any type compatible? Again, I apologize, but I am not too educated on audio systems.

DLS, JL Audio, and Image Dynamics are quality manufactures just to name a few. Elemental Design also makes a decent sub for a good price.

[FONT=Courier New][FONT=Arial]if you get a new sub you will need to get a new amp. you will also have to connect your head unit to the new setup. just keep that in mind as you consider upgrading. that said, the amount of bass that you will get out of an 8'' sub isnt that much, considering that the stock one is rear-deck and you'll have a trunk mounted sub. i was in your shoes about 8 months ago.

What I would do is use a 4 gauge wire for your amp kit. You dont really need it, but if you decide to upgrade your sub in teh future it will come handy..i am running a 2 gauge..
