Trying to figure this out for a friend.. The CD player on her 99 CL 3.0 is giving a PEO code.. and won't play or eject the CD but the radio works fine. I had a woman in our office who had the same problem (I don't know about the same code) but when she called Honda (hers was an Accord) they simply gave her a code and she punched it in and all was well..

My friend, on the other hand, calls Acura and they are telling her she basically needs a whole new CD player.

Is that true or are they just trying to make a sale?
