Any way to get rid of Nav disclaimer?

I just got a 2003 CL-S 6 speed W/Nav (I love it) and was wondering if there was any way to get it to skip the disclaimer screen. I've searched the forums and I'm afraid I know the answer.

Do a search it has been talked about before. No only do you probably have to hack the code but also you'll probably have to reflash memory and/or reload some firmware? Something about it not being permanent between restarts....

In short, not worth it.

Does anyone know what the signal is from the display that signals the "OK"? Does anyone know if it travels on a bus or is it a voltage to the DVD player? I don't have a wiring diagram but there are those that do on here. Maybe a small circuit with a delay to enable the boot up and then duplicate the "OK" signal. Having it boot up straight to map mode vice menu would be nice too. They should have had the disclaimer automatically disable after 50 starts. It really is a pain in the ass.

Ken is right, you might need to update the firmware. And a simple "jmp" in assembly will get around the splash screen warning.

I have not tried doing it, but I have thought about it. Be pretty simple. Might not even be in the firmware. Be even easier then.

My question is if its on the DVD. I can rip the DVD and pull things out of it. Kinda like I do with the DVD Movies. I pull out the Special Features and Subtitles and Foreign Languages. I wonder if its on the DVD. I can try it out I guess and See. Rip it and then look at the code.

NJ,

If that works I'd be willing to buy a copy of the replacement DVD for a fair price.

I have the older version of the DVD, but I can probably get a new copy. IF it works, I'll just charge you the price of the DVD and shipping. I'm not in it to make $$$

That's cool. Your time is worth $$$. Do you know how much the DVD is (roughly)?

I work in a software company. We develop all the software for every phone company worldwide. There is not a telephone company, or cellular provider that doesn't use our ssytems. We developed the DSL Technology, as well as the 800 systems and number portability

Diggin up OLD threads (lol) doing my searching! Am I missing any newer threads that actually explained how to do this, either through disassembly or a separate control module? 03 cls 6spd with nav here... Thanks in advance!
