I had my amp tested today at the Audio shop and am wondering if this is what other people see from their amps.

Specs say @ 14.4V

900x1 @ 4 ohmn Bridged RMS
1,500x1 @ 4 ohmn Bridged MAX

The audio shop tested it @ 14.4V and got:

1,237x1 @ 4 ohmn Bridged RMS
2,078x1 @ 4 ohmn Bridged MAX

Im driving 2 Alpine 12" Type Rs (DVC) @ 4 ohmn and the thing hits like no tomorrow. The speakers are rated @ 300 RMS and 1,000 MAX. Should I upgrade the subs since Im getting so much power?

i have about 5 customers that have the 1507 running either 2 or three type r's, and it is fine either way, but you have to control your amp and tune it correctly. Just because a person buys a set of subs with a higher wattage capacity doesn't mean that they will last any longer or sound any louder. The box that the subs are in is more important to the overall equation than the amp or the subs themselves

mods include:
Xtant 6.5" components front and rear
xta603x
2 xtant 12" X series subs
plexi box front and rear with 2way mirror, sliding amp rack
clifford avant guard 4 alarm
