Alarm keeps going off on 97 CL

I do not have the remote. When I lock the car it arms itself then goes off 15 minutes later. If I leave the car unlocked, it does not go off. What can I do to lock the car without the alarm going off?

Fredzep - i have had this problem with my 99 3.0 CL. I resolved it in the short term in two ways 1) disconnecting the fuse under the hood - I think # 15 for a short time. and 2) by locking the door and shutting the drivers side door until the lock grabs but the door in not completely closed. The alarm does not go off. The interior door panel light remains on but evidently not enough to drain the battery or attract attention in a parking lot. The car is evidently sealed from rain.

I have been closing and locking my door this winter and the alarm has not been going off.

I have noticed in some other posts on other sites that people have mentioned the alarm problem before experiencing the Immoblizer system indicator flashing - the key icon on the dashboard.

I am now experiencing the car dying in traffic when the key light flashes and I think all of these issues related to the security system. I have researched the Immobilizer system indicator and still don't have a good answer. I know I need to test all my keys to see if there is a problem with the code in any of my keys.

My car is sensitve to vibration and has started screaming at train stations / when I have parked on ice and the wind blows the car on the ice (Chicago winters are BRUTAL).

Your experience is shared. If you have any knowlege about the Imobilizer System Indicator, please share.
