Alarm
Has anyone heard anything bad about the Aladdin 2000 alarm/starter? I know the range for the remote is not great but I wanted to see if any of you have had success or problems with this alarm. I couldn't really find an answer when I searched other forums.
Any other recommendations for an alarm/starter for around $200?
Thanks
Derrick

Hey Derrick:
I've never heard of Alladin alarms. For ~$200, I think you should look at an Alpine. SEC-100S runs about $150 and the SEC-150R runs about $250.
I recently got a Viper 790VX installed for $500 and its a fantastic unit. It works on a two way paging system so if your alarm is triggered, you get a page and your unit lights up which sensor was activated. It's also got a remote starter which is awesome during these bone-cold winter days.
The one issue I've heard with TLs with NAV is with the remote starter interfering, but mine is no NAV so I couldn't help you.
