added subs help

i dont know if this is any kinda repost, but here it is anyways. in the near future i wanna replace the front 6x5's and tweetwers with a set of Apline Type-S components and maybe add a 12" Type-R sub. my question is about the amount of bass the sub would get me. i listen to a variety of music, mainly rock, hip hop, and rap, and i dont want annoyingly loud amounts of bass. i want enough bass to know i got some junk in da trunk. would a 10" sub give me that kinda power... or should i put in 2 10"s. money isnt really an object, but i wanna be efficient about it, not wasting it. also, what kinda amp would i need for this kinda set up. any help, if you can understand my horrible exlpanations would be awesome.. thanx for taking the time to read

I bought my MRD-M50 for 499.99 two years ago when it first came out. I have the 12th one that was ever made. But it rocks very well. I noticed the difference immediately. But with that much power you will need to buy Dynomat trunk and License Plate kit.

Dynomat will help your car not rattle. Most of the rattles will be heard from the outside of your car.

Yeah, it will bump.

Install was easy. I am going to take it apart again soon. When I do I will take pics and give instructions.

hey, i was reading reviews on this amp and came across a fact that it was a bitch to install and uninstall and the fact that it did not come with a wired remote digital display/controller... what exactly is a wired remote digital display/controller and what does it do? ive looked online, but i havent been able to find anything on it. is it some kind of control panel or something that i would keep in front with me to change the amps specs w/0 having to go to the back, or is that wired remote digital display/controller really necessary???

The amp has three wires that give it power and determine if it is on or off. Their is a constant power (usually a yellow, sometimes red wire hooked up directly to your battery), a ground (black cable hooked to the chassis of the vehicle, best if less than 18" long), and a remote lead (a blue line that is conected to a power source in the car that turn on/off with the car or stereo). I hope that awnsers your question.

In my thread I tried to get the amp to turn on/off with the stereo instead of the car. But I was unable to do this. So when my ignition is on so is my amp (reguardless of the stereo being on/off).
